The Lactation Nurse is pleased to offer both virtual and in-person sessions based on your needs and preference.
DID YOU KNOW? The hospital setting can be a busy place - and unfortunately not everyone has an opportunity to see a lactation consultant before being discharged home. Understanding this, many of my clients have chosen to complete their initial consultation prenatally to allow themselves to feel empowered to initiate their breastfeeding journey no matter how busy the staff are when they deliver.
Whether it is your first experience with lactation or you’ve had issues in the past, a prenatal session gives us a chance to review any questions you have, helps build your confidence, and allows us to structure a plan to have in place to overcome common challenges and to feel prepared to succeed in your personal lactation goals.
*Choosing an initial prenatal appointment allows the first appointment with baby to be a follow up consultation.*
If you would rather wait until after delivery to schedule an initial appointment that is always an option! I will do my best to accommodate whatever is best for you and your family.

TESTIMONIALS
LATCH & POSITIONING
I couldn’t have met Kristin at a more perfect time! A few days after leaving the hospital, I was struggling to breastfeed due to pain from a shallow latch and overwhelming anxiety from my previous experience with breastfeeding my firstborn. I knew that I wanted to continue providing breastmilk for my newborn, but I also knew that, for my own mental health, I needed to explore options outside of traditional breastfeeding. Kristin, with her bag of tricks and tips, swooped into the rescue to help me create an exclusive pumping plan that worked for me and for my family. Kristin centered our consult around my needs and goals, not the all too common pressure-filled approach many lactation consultants seem to use. As a mom dealing with serious anxiety and trauma, this kindness and personalized care was exactly what I needed to gain more confidence in my choices. I highly recommend Kristin to all moms on their breastfeeding journey, and especially to those who are struggling with breastfeeding-related anxiety. -Vanessa P.
Kristin was everything I needed to help me and my little one during the newborn stage! I contacted her during the day and she replied to me that night saying she could see me the next day. I didn’t expect to see her that quickly but I am so happy I did. She came over and fixed my latch, helped me with my hold, and provided insights that I wish could’ve been provided to me with my first child. She also went through some pumping guidelines and I was able to increase my supply additional 2-3oz per pumping session. My baby was like a new baby the next day. It was basically day and night. She was fed and happy and even sleeping better. Grateful for her help! -Angelica D.
We were so lucky to find Kristin. She helped coach us on how to use a supplemental nursing system since the baby was born via surrogate. We had the incredible skin to skin bonding and the baby was feeding well from the start. The stress of the SNS was completely gone with Kristin’s kind, patient, and confident coaching. Afterwards, we continued to contact Kristin seeking her advice on various baby matters since she has such a wealth of knowledge. She is always so helpful. She provides a written summary of what was discussed so it can be referred to later. Most importantly, she always comes to support with a lovely smile and great sense of humor. If you need a lactation nurse, Kristin is your person!! - Anita T.
Kristin is an amazing lactation specialist and one of a handful of IBCLCs in the area. Within minutes (literally) of repositioning my hold, my daughter was nursing like a champ! We are now 3.5 months in and things continue to go well (especially a relief after a negative and short-lived experience nursing our first child a few years ago). Kristin was available for follow up by text and continued to give helpful tips. She really took a stressful and overwhelming time and made it much easier for me. Every new mom needs her. -Shaina K.
I reached out to Kristin because my baby had a hard time latching and wasn’t getting enough milk. After meeting with Kristin my entire breastfeeding journey has changed drastically. My baby latches on with no problem and gets all the milk she needs. She’s gaining so much weight, sleeping better, and overall just a happier baby and I could not be more thankful. She also wrote me an amazing care plan. Without Kristin I truly don’t know where we’d be today. I highly highly highly recommend!! -Madison M.
Kristin was wonderful! Our 5 week old infant was having great trouble eating (bottle feeding) and gaining weight. We had a lip and tongue revision, and Kristin came to our house that same afternoon to help us get up and running. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. She helped us develop a clear plan and many great tips. We're in a much better place now and I'm grateful for her services! -Kate M.
Kristin is amazing at what she does. She is patient and very helpful. I hired her for her advice and guidance with the latching of my newborn and positioning. She gave me great advice that has helped me improve the breastfeeding of my newborn. Breastfeeding is not easy but hiring someone like Kristin has helped me get to a good start of this journey. -Alejandra L.
As a first time mom, I knew I wanted to work with an IBCLC to help our breastfeeding journey be as smooth as possible. Kristin was so quick to respond and set up time to come work with me and my baby. She spent so much quality time helping with any questions or issues about scheduling feeds, supply, proper latch, positioning, addressing any discomfort, etc. she also is available to answer questions after a visit in case you forget something (and again, responds so quickly!). I attribute much of my breastfeeding confidence and success to working with Kristin. I also had her come back when baby was a little bit older, as I wanted to check his latch and positioning again as he got older(and more wiggly!) Invaluable resource for mamas who wish to breastfeed. -Jennifer K.
Kristin was wonderful! As a first time mom, I was anxious when I brought our baby home from the hospital and was still having trouble getting her to latch and knowing if she was getting enough to eat. I reached out and Kristin was responsive right away. She came to see us the next day. She helped with how I was positioning the baby and her latch. By the time she left I had thorough notes on how to ensure we were both successful. I would highly recommend Kristin. -Kayla S.
SUPPLY
Can’t say enough good things about Kristin and how much she has helped our journey to successfully transitioning from bottle to breast. You don’t expect to be separated from your baby at birth, but when that happens nobody tells you that you need to start pumping/hand expressing to have your milk come in. You also don’t expect your baby to get started latching on bottles rather than the breast. Even though it has been challenging, having Kristin to guide us and build my confidence so I can help our newborn build her confidence has made a huge difference. We went from bottle feeding formula, to exclusively pumping and bottle feeding breast milk and now we are exclusively breastfeeding during the day and bottle feeding at night (mommy needs a lil sleep ). Our pediatrician has said our little girl is thriving and that is worth more than I can even put into words. -Natalie T.
I am a first time mom who started out with latching issues with my newborn. I was in a lot of pain and clearly didn’t know what I was doing. I reached out to Kristin and she was extremely responsive and came out the next day to help me. She gave me a ton of pointers and even educated me on breastfeeding beyond what I originally called her for. I ended up having a massive oversupply and had Kristin come back out for a consultation and again she was very responsive and was able to come within a day or two. We made a plan to help regulate my supply, which we had to adjust a few times due to my body not responding to certain techniques. She answered all my questions and was with me every step of the way. I admit I almost threw in the towel on multiple occasions, but thanks to Kristin being so encouraging and helping me every step of the way I am finally getting to where I need to be with my supply and I am grateful to still be breastfeeding. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help/has questions or just is a first time mom trying to figure out breastfeeding. - Chelsea M.
Kristin was a huge help with my breastfeeding journey! She gave me a ton of tips and tricks to make sure my baby is getting enough food. After her visit, his whole feeding game changed, making sleep and wake windows better for all of us. I highly recommend Kristen for anyone wanting to know more about breastfeeding!! -Kelsey M.
PRENATAL
Kristin helped me tremendously. After a fairly disastrous breastfeeding journey with my first daughter that ended much earlier than I had hoped, I contacted Kristin while pregnant with my second. She was one of the only caregivers who was willing to consult with me before my baby was even born, and provided me with the confidence and know-how to try again with my second daughter. We talked through my specific challenges and she provided me with methods to keep my breasts healthy and happy while feeding my little one. My daughter is now 10 weeks old and we have been able to solve those early challenges that derailed my journey the first time around. I credit Kristin with giving me the tools and knowledge I needed to confidently feed my baby. We’ve definitely hit our stride now and I know if any additional problems arise, I have an incredible resource to turn to for help. Thank you Kristin! -Christa D.
SCHEDULE
Kristin is absolutely amazing at what she does. She is so knowledgeable and has such a gentle approach to her practice which as an anxious first time mom, I truly needed. She helped me get my baby on a better feeding schedule and helped me heal from mastitis. I would recommend her to anyone needing support! -Diana V.
UPDATE! Fast forward to my second baby, everything was smooth sailing until about 6-7 months. I was really struggling and frustrated with breast refusals, distractions, snacking, and lots of overnight wakings. I reached out to Kristin and she spent nearly 2 hours with me discussing my frustrations and walking me through what she thought the problems may be. Less than a week after implementing her suggestions, my baby is happily coming to breast, taking full feeds, and sleeping SO much better at night. To say I am happy and relieved is an understatement.
Whether you're a first time mom/first time breastfeeding or have done it before, or have a newborn or older baby, Kristin will really spend the time with you getting into all the little details and come up with a custom care plan. I really wish I would have reached out to her sooner instead of trying to figure it all out on my own. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you Kristin! - Jennifer K.
PUMPING
Kristin is AMAZING! I just wish I had scheduled a visit with her sooner. I had started to dread nursing sessions (thanks hormones!) since at least half the time they ended with throw-up (baby's) and tears (both of us). Kristin came out when my son was 8 weeks old and nursing has been so much better since then (13 weeks now). I so appreciated that she first just listened to me, I finally felt heard and seen. Then she got to work! I loved her straight-forward and clear explanations of what was and wasn't working. She also walked me through pumping, including setting up my pump, and reviewed general breast-feeding / breast health things. I felt like she didn't waste any time and she was super responsive with my follow-up texts. The care plan was easy to follow and I refer to it all the time. After Kristin's visit, I'm convinced that every nursing or trying to nurse parent could benefit from her work and help! -Virginia D.
Before my baby was born I knew I wanted to breastfeed and ended up being faced with more challenges than I expected. Not only did Kristin get back to me quickly, she happily came out a couple days before Christmas. Kristin really helped me feel more confident in what I was doing and redirected me on areas I needed to make adjustments, like flange and nipple shield sizing and how to best use my breast pump. She’s really on point and her custom care plan kept me on track and was great to refer back to when I needed it. It has taken lots of learning and practice, but baby and I have finally found a balance of pumping and breastfeeding. If you’re passionate about breastfeeding like I was don’t give up! And if you need help just call Kristin! -Danielle F.
NICU
Kristin is absolutely amazing! I was struggling with oversupply, baby not latching, positioning my baby & all the things. My baby was in the NICU so I wasn’t rounded on by the lactation nurses in the hospital. And let’s be honest, you need more help when you come home from the hospital. I felt so helpless and clueless and was literally about to give up. I really wanted to breastfeed but needed so much help that it didn’t seem possible. I was so discouraged. I found Kristin on google & she was the biggest blessing ever! She’s so professional and I felt so comfortable with her. She helped me with all my struggles and answered all my questions. I was able to successfully breastfeed after seeing her!! She would check up on me throughout the week and was available, with quick responses, if I had any questions. I highly recommend her!!! -Katie C.
GENERAL
I can’t speak highly enough about Kristin. She is the definition of professionalism mixed in with kindness and patience. I would encourage anyone who plans to breastfeed to reach out to her for her knowledge and support. I have worked alongside Kristin as a nurse and then used her for lactation support and she is absolutely wonderful at both. -Amanda N.
Highly, highly, highly recommend working with Kristin on your BF journey! She has truly been a Godsend to me & my family - not only improving breastfeeding for my son & I, but providing so much reassurance to my husband & I as new parents. She covers EVERYTHING in her visits and is extremely responsive to all follow up questions. Her credentials are important and should be taken very seriously. Super smart, super comprehensive, super validating, literally everything I was hoping for & more when deciding I needed support in-home after delivering. -Melanie H.
Kristin did a wonderful job helping myself and my husband during that wonderful but completely overwhelming few weeks postpartum. We were feeling very guilty that we were not loving the newborn phase and were exhausted. She reassured us that these feelings were valid, and that it does improve. We were able to use many of the suggestions she provided us, and are now 4 months with our little guy and doing fantastic. -Natalie R.
As a first time mom breast feeding and everything you should know about it can be very overwhelming. Kristin is very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. I was concerned I would feel pressured into or judged for not being 100% sure I wanted to breast feed. She supported that and helped me have all the knowledge I need to be prepared. -Jessica T.
Kristin is the best. In so many ways. She was recommended to us by another trusted resource, and we couldn’t be more grateful. She helped us get going when we were initially released from the hospital. I was a very anxious first time mom. This was the cause of some of our nursing difficulty. Kristin helped me develop confidence and establish a nursing routine. Then, we called upon Kristin again to help amid declining supply as I returned to work. Each time, Kristin came with all the kindness and knowledge we could ever hope for. With Kristin, we feel that we have made a lifelong friend. We are so grateful that Kristin offers this service for families such as ours. We highly recommend Kristin!! -Melissa L.
Kristin is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and kind with her approach to helping a new mother through the ups and downs of breast feeding. She was available all hours of the day and night days after our first consult to help trouble shoot any issue that would arise. I highly recommend her to any mother who needs advice to care for their newborn, not just from a medical perspective, but from a mother to mother as well. - Danielle D.
Kristin was my #1 breastfeeding cheerleader! I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. She helped me navigate different issues I was facing along the way (the first month is the hardest) She would check on us periodically and reassured me when I needed it. I’d highly recommend her to any of my family or friends! -Amanda L.

Kristin left a forever impact on me working as my delivery nurse with my 3rd baby. I know that anyone who sees her will be encouraged, championed, and educated! -Nancy S.
Had a very positive experience! Kristin was extremely helpful. Not only did she come up with a great plan for us, she truly listened to what my goals were and helped us achieve them! Our little girl is doing great. Highly recommend! -Alexandria J.
Very knowledgeable and would definitely recommend for any parents struggling or needing guidance. Well worth it and much more thorough than any consultant I ever saw in the hospital. She assisted greatly with our feeding journey. -Sophia M.
Kristin was amazing from the moment I reached out to her. She responded quickly and found time to come see us right away. When she arrived she was kind and courteous and quickly assessed my baby and I to determine what needed to be addressed. By the time she left I was crying tears of joy and relief because she gave me the confidence and guidance I needed to continue my breastfeeding journey. Thank you so much looking forward to continuing to work with Kristin to come up with my pumping plan as I return to work. -Danielle W.
There really aren’t words to do Kristin justice. I first met her when I delivered my son. After 22 hours of labor, I delivered a healthy, happy 10 pound baby boy. Without too many details, let me just say Kristen went above and beyond to ensure my labor went smoothly and that my recovery would be minimal. Our relationship did not stop there, though. She and I kept in touch. Kristin genuinely cares about her mommies and babies and made such an effort to make sure I was healing and he was nursing well. When I became pregnant with my daughter, Kristin could not wait to make arrangements for her birth. She promised me she’d be there to deliver her, and boy, did she deliver! Sure enough, my blessing of a nurse, who has since become a dear friend, showed up on her day off to deliver my daughter. My second labor, one that did not start off as well as my first, became more comfortable the minute Kristin arrived. She, aside from my husband, became my biggest advocate, something that is priceless when giving birth during a pandemic. Yet again, Kristin’s care exceeded my expectations. Having more trouble nursing this go around, Kristin made herself available to me until baby and I got the hang of each other. My daughter is 4.5 months now and I STILL work with her. If you are looking for someone to help you take the stress out of nursing so you can focus on healing and bonding with your new bundle of joy, Kristen is your girl. Trust me. She is smart, passionate, and insanely good at taking care of her mommas and babies. -Jessica G.
Kristin delivered both of my babies. With my son, nursing came fairly easily, but as a new mom, you don't know what you don't know. Kristin helped me through intense breast pain and helped me rock at nursing. Any first-time mom will tell you that the first week is critical when it comes to getting though the pain and the worries that come with being a new mom. It is so easy to want to give up. I could not have done it without her support. Every second-time mom will tell you that every baby is different, and boy was this true of my little girl. Despite needing supplementation following her birth, Kristin knew how important exclusive breastfeeding was to me. Kristin told me she would see to it that Livi was ultimately exclusively breastfed like my little boy, and she did! To this day, Kristin is my go-to for breastfeeding and pump questions. If you are looking for someone to help take the stress out of nursing so that you can heal and bond with your new bundle of joy, then Kristin is your gal. Trust me! She is smart, passionate, and insanely good at taking care of her mommas and babies. -Jessica B.
